The Station Fire, north of Los Angeles, was the largest and deadliest 2009 wildfire, burning 160,577 acres (251 sq mi; 64,983 ha) and killing two firefighters.  Dr. Chris Cauble and technician Miguel Salazar were on hand to help with the possible evacuation of the lions, tigers, leopards, cougars and other big cats.  Mobile Vet also helped many people with their domestic cats and dogs during the fire crisis.
